Ukrainian Fashion Week: own vision and sustainability

One of the most prominent events for the Ukrainian fashion world, Ukrainian Fashion Week, has recently ended in Kyiv. Local brands presented their designs on the catwalks of the capital from September 1 to 4. This was the first Fashion Week in the last four seasons (i.e. since the beginning of the full-scale invasion) and the 55th since its foundation in our country. Prior to that, our talented fashion designers showed their collections in London, Los Angeles, Copenhagen, Berlin, and a number of other fashion capitals.

Despite the extremely difficult times for the country, the creativity of our people and their irresistible spirit find expression in interesting fashion solutions and combinations. This was clearly evident at each of the SS25 catwalk shows. Here is just a small part of the brands that participated in this year's Fashion Week and impressed with their collections:

  • FROLOV

  • PODOLYAN

  • KSENIASCHNAIDER

  • BOBKOVA

  • NIDIA DZYAK

  • Andreas Moskin

  • Viktor Anisimov

Trends such as the conscious use of fabrics and furniture in creating designs, as well as working with eco-friendly materials, were the leading trends for the participants of the fashion event. Brands demonstrated their creativity not only in designs, but also in approaches to promoting fashion without negative consequences for the environment.

SS25: clothing and jewelry trends from Ukrainian designers

And now to the most interesting part! What, according to the vision of our designers, will be trendy in the next warm season?

So, the main style tendencies that could be seen at the shows were modernized variants of classics, eclecticism, mainly a mix of Ukrainian folk motifs with innovative solutions, as well as a kind of eccentric casual.

Many collections featured knitted and embroidered inserts, macramé, see-through fabrics, flounces, flowers, and sequins. In spite of the tragic present, there were no depressing shades. The color palette of the collections included natural, as well as bright and juicy shades.

As for jewelry, this year most designers relied on massive and long earrings, voluminous bracelets, and interesting shapes of sunglasses. In some shows, the main role was given to body chains, multi-layered necklaces and asymmetrical jewelry, such as mono earrings. The accessories also had a touch of color. So to speak, not with gold and silver solely. Among the jewelry brands at Ukrainian Fashion Week were SOVA, Gunia Project, Anna Zard and others.

We are confident that in the near future our talented Ukrainian designers and jewelers will become trendsetters not only for domestic but also for global fashionistas. Just like our brand of transforming jewelry. We are absolutely convinced that Ukrainian creativity, resilience, and uniqueness deserve attention on the global stage.
