The lip balm from the Rhode brand, owned by Hailey-Rhode Bieber, has made a great splash on the market. How? Firstly, fans of Hailey herself - her style and the history of her relationship with Justin Bieber - immediately joined the brand's list of customers. The affordable price of 18$ immediately turned the product from a desirable one to a mainstream one.
Secondly, marketers did a good job and created not just a lip product in aesthetic packaging, but a real cult. Thus, the branded phone case, which is also a case for the balm, has gained the attention of many girls and got into their wish-lists. By the way, the price of the Rhode case is also not exorbitant and even lower than the cost of the branded Apple case - $35.
The Rhode lip care line has two categories of products: odorless peptide lip tints (in Ribbon, Raspberry Jelly, Toast, and Espresso) and transparent nourishing peptide lip treatments that can be ordered with or without a scent (rhode vanilla, salted caramel, unscented, and watermelon slice). The viral phone cases are also available in the shades of the balms.
There are a lot of reviews about both balms and phone cases (which, by the way, are purchased separately). However, they are so different that it is impossible to say for sure whether it is worth spending money on a hyped beauty product.
We decided to go a little further than just reading reviews on the Internet and asked a makeup artist and beauty influencer, Sonya Petrovska, for help. She agreed to give an honest professional review of Rhode balm. And we were surprised by her opinion! We hope that this detailed answer will give you a clear understanding of whether you need a lip product from Hailey.

Is Rhode lip balm really as good as it is advertised?
“To be honest, yes! Of course, there are many people who are not fans of this texture, but this is more about personal preferences than a reasoned comment about the balm. I use it to this day and it really moisturizes even very dry lips. It contains vegan ingredients, such as peptides and oils as shea butter, cupuasu, and a natural source of lauric acid. It is incredibly shiny on the lips and does not stick at all. In addition, the brand is not tested on animals, which gives great confidence in the product line. But there is only one drawback for me personally - it absorbs quickly. I renew it quite often.”
Is it worth the money?
“Definitely yes. If you re-read my answer to the first question, you come to the conclusion that there is only one disadvantage. The brand itself and the person behind it, the history of the brand and the way it presents its values, aesthetics, ingredients, texture. It's really worth the money. Without a doubt.”
What are your favorites among lip balms?
“My current favorites are as follows:
“Rhode”,
“Unico” (this is a Ukrainian brand of glosses that often replace me balms. They also provide good moisturizing and cooling effects without being sticky. These glosses come in a wide range of colors),
“Lips Care” (a Ukrainian brand that also impressed me with its aesthetics, texture, and range of colors),
“Carmex” (“ It is a brand I've been buying for years. I love its texture and how it works with my lips, which are sometimes very dry).”
